As Spotify are rolling out this new age verification thing, possibly banning accounts that don’t follow this(?), I think it’s a good reminder to have your own copies of music.
Don’t get me wrong I use Spotify a lot, but I’ve also been trying to use my old iPods more 😍

Queen have uploaded a modified version of their #LiveAid performance to YouTube but they literally say the video has been restored and music has been mixed differently, etc…
It goes after 24hrs tho, so right now I’m downloading it with yt-dlp… I don’t want this to be gone forever..

Was fun watching Live Aid’s part 2 section of the documentary (since it was the one that was live tonight) - missed the steam of part 1 but might watch tomorrow. Although the “better” bands were on today’s one! 🫣 (imho)
I think the plan for tonight is me and my parents are watching Live Aid on BBC or smth 👀📺

rip. iOS 26 beta 3 is waaaaaaaay less transparent. It’s more readable, ik, but I loved beta 1 & 2 - beta 3 is just making them less clear. Even a slider to “choose your translucency” would be nice.

i still think the best way to listen to music, play a game, etc.. is to have your OWN files. there’s something satisfying about having all the mp3s on your computer/phone or whatever and just pick a music player.. no geostrictions or enshittifcation possible!
YouTube music’s algorithm is surprisingly good.. I’m just leaving it on and it’s playing decent songs I’ve not heard before. I guess unsurprising since it probably plugs into my YouTube history that’s built up over years.
