Also the recent release of #Tapestry across Apple devices feels like it fits right. You can add your socials to it, and see everything/everyone you choose to follow in a chronological view, with filters you create.

Luckily the newly emerging social media sites (e.g. atproto based ones, you know what I mean since this thread is getting crossposted) give you more control over what you see with custom feeds/algos, but this needs to be fixed.

Watching this video from Technology Connections about #Algorithms on the web, and whilst not finished yet (10m to go), it’s got some really good points.
The YT tip is useful, but also the use of extensions can remove the algorithms from sites.
