@0xtiago_ do you use the “show less” button? it really helps. also, who do you follow over there? bc they must be liking a lot of those types of posts for them to be in your discover/for you feeds
jack
my quick posts!
https://posts.j4ck.xyz/@0xtiago_ and they are still working on that infrastructure. but your other points are just invalid, and there’s proof against it
@0xtiago_ which i self host at http://pds.j4ck.xyz
and on that last point, it’s obviously going to be smaller. only 2 years ago did it open up to the public.
i get that the moderation is far from perfect - i have even let their head of moderation, who follows me, know that
@0xtiago_ most of how it runs really isn’t centralised. anybody can go out and build a relay or indexer service which acts in the hands of the community (e.g. blacksky) – all content is publicly accessible (you can view my posts here https://pds.ls/at://did:plc:4hawmtgzjx3vclfyphbhfn7v/app.bsky.feed.post - pulled straight from my PDS!)
@0xtiago_ well you have clusters on here you seem to care about 🤷♂️
this 3rd party feed is VERY good (got a lot of praise even on here at some points) https://bsky.app/profile/spacecowboy17.bsky.social/feed/for-you - whilst it’s not great that the official feed isn’t amazing, at least you have choice of another feed.
@0xtiago_ they are literally actively working on improving the clusters - https://bsky.app/profile/pfrazee.com/post/3lwpse6lf3s2t
it’s not great atm but it’s ignorant to say they’re refusing to implement moderation
@0xtiago_ at the moment of course, because of network effects on apps like twitter, etc..
http://sprk.so is another cool example. they are hosting their own PDSs, moderation system, etc.. @knotbin could tell you more (he’s on the team)
it’s growing. slowly atm, but surely
@0xtiago_ multiple such examples of the bsky team (or former team members) that praise it: https://bsky.app/profile/samuel.fm/post/3mf3bdrtwqk2x https://bsky.app/profile/pfrazee.com/post/3mc22dcf3b227 https://bsky.app/profile/why.bsky.team/post/3meomclcfss2w https://bsky.app/profile/pfrazee.com/post/3meogr22l3k2d https://bsky.app/profile/hailey.at/post/3meykt72hhc2r
and there are many, many more
@0xtiago_ lmao that’s just not true
@0xtiago_ as they share the http://standard.site standard lexicon, which is designed for blog-like applications. allows for indexers to collect one type of record and do whatever with the content from that
