i saw an article once about how to store iCloud photos on an external drive but it seemed like the most annoying thing to do. they manually downloaded batches of 1k items per time from icloud[.]com then moved them to a drive 😅

@theo i was having that!! i was confused what it was but this makes sense (i was trying to download iCloud photos into a 3rd party app i use but it wasn’t downloading them)
