the charger for this has been dodgy af for a while now, it’s like totally stripped the protection layer outside the actual wiring for a while, leaving the actual wiring exposed, so I’m not plugging that in (last time I did it broke the extension lead I used 💀)

I tried to fix this back in 2024, but back then I ordered a faulty Corsair SSD which ended up leaving it still not working… but I just realised that my 1tb crucial SSD likely works in it (I’ve got an M.2 → Apple adapter in the SSD slot below the SSD).

i’ve tried it once before (not thoroughly) but i remember it being weird to install / upgrade stuff on bc iirc it’s meant to be more locked down (?) to make it harder to break
