@OwenDaBanana @actuallyaridan also @actuallyaridan, if I install the nvme SSD into it now, can i just keep the other one in there? surely i could just reinstall win11 on the nvme one then use this one as some sort of backup/2nd SSD for storage..? cba to take it out

@OwenDaBanana @actuallyaridan you say this as i’m currently using cursor to write a script to sync my laptop’s time with http://time.windows.com every 30m and at reboot since it’s always like 3m behind for some reason.. 😅

(reinstalls don’t fix this, it had this issue on Windows 10 as well)

@actuallyaridan good. yeah it’s insane. i often have 10+ apps open on my 8/256GB M2 Mac mini, and it’s literally fine 99% of the time, it only feels limiting when i use ollama to run local models lol

@actuallyaridan oh ok so not as much as i thought… i saw that but was hoping it was more just so that it’d be more noticeable w/ 16GB lol

on my Mac mini I keep getting like 4GB of swap used, but i think that’s “normal” (even if it’s not good) since other ppl seem to have the same situation.…

@actuallyaridan yeah i hope so! is there a way i can check the paging numbers? i tried to find some file in the C drive because a few websites said you can do that, but i couldn’t find the one.. just curious how much it’s really using

in fact, should i try putting in the corsair ssd now? i don’t have to remove this drive since it looks like the nvme drive is entirely separate..?
