@simonw @CoreyGallon so yeah I’m pretty excited about the cost of these intelligent models powering these agents to become cheaper and cheaper over time…. I think a lot of the open-weight models are really starting to show this

@simonw @CoreyGallon because it’s obvious that for probably about a year or more now you’ve been able to subscribe to these apps’ subscriptions and make it good value - but I’m not sure to which extent they can keep doing this and instead making money from training data and the vendor lock-in 😅

@simonw @CoreyGallon But another scary thing for me is: “My http://llm-prices.com calculator estimates that at $29.41 if I was paying for those tokens at API prices, but they were included in my $20/month ChatGPT Plus subscription so the actual extra cost to me was zero.”

@simonw @CoreyGallon This is a really interesting post! It’s cool that it was able to actually work in the end, I’ve been trying these iterative loops in opencode but often the loop just breaks for me

apparently it’s as good as claude for coding from what i’ve seen? it’s free rn in opencode so worth a shot imo…
