Had a free period today, a friend had a screwdriver (don’t ask) so we took apart my laptop and it actually seems really easy to remove the fan! It’s got one cable connecting it to the motherboard and two screws to remove, that’s it!! Just hope the eBay one works 👌

@thatjoshguy69 Warning in advance, unless there’s some workaround, the setup tries to install over an ENTIRE disk, so if you only have one SSD you can’t dual boot
