@srt54558 @andromaia i still have to clear out the storage quite frequently, but it works for me anyway

@srt54558 @andromaia of it, but even that can be helped with an external SSD. I currently have a 480GB one plugged into my Mac mini 24/7 out of the back of it and i keep my files (screen recordings, screenshots, downloads, etc..) on there, then instal apps on the internal one.

@srt54558 @andromaia so it depends what for, but i mean considering all base model M4 mac minis have 16GB of RAM for the same price (& with the better chip!) i think it’s a no brainer if you’re def looking for a mac and are happy with the fact that it’s a desktop.

only concern is the storage side

@srt54558 @andromaia well i have the M2 model (from 2023?) - 8/256

the RAM is actually good for everything that i do, until it comes to local models. my biggest regret of getting this specific one was the storage.

i got this before the M4 one released, but it still feels great (M2 is very powerful)

@BennettBuhner also i feel like this will be a very 50/50 split of a reaction whenever it drops - i’m hoping in future they also consider an additional open model which works better on lower end hardware on top of this one
